 RBI has appointed Sanjay Malhotra as the new governor for a 3-year term

The RBI has appointed Sanjay Malhotra as the new governor for a 3-year term. He currently holds the position of Secretary (Revenue) in the Finance Ministry. The new governor will take charge on 11 December.
