Big good news has come for the devotees of Baba Barfani regarding Amarnath Yatra 2025. The official dates of the Yatra have been announced this year. In the meeting of the Amarnath Shrine Board, it was decided that the Yatra will start from July 3 and will run till August 9, 2025. Special arrangements will be made this year to make the journey more smooth and safe.

Amarnath Yatra will start from July 3, 2025 and this journey will run till August 9, 2025. During this time devotees will be able to have darshan of Baba Barfani. This time the preparations for the Yatra are being made more organized as compared to previous years.
Special arrangements for security and facilities
This time the government and the Amarnath Shrine Board have given top priority to the safety of the devotees. With the cooperation of Jammu and Kashmir administration, central security forces and various government agencies, the journey will be made completely safe. Many important steps are being taken for the convenience of the devotees:
Excellent arrangements for accommodation and food: Langars, tents and resting places will be increased on the travel route.
Online and offline registration: Devotees can register themselves through both online and offline means. Like last year, this year also this process is likely to start from the month of April.
Health facilities: Medical camps, ambulances and a team of doctors will be stationed on the travel route.
Modern traffic system: State-of-the-art technologies will be used for traffic management on the travel route so that there is no problem of jam.
Ropeway facility from Baltal, travel will be easy
The central government has approved an important scheme to make the Amarnath Yatra easier. A ropeway will be built from the Baltal route to the holy Amarnath cave. This project has been included in the 18 major ropeway construction programs started to improve religious and tourist places.
What will change in the journey with the ropeway?
The proposed ropeway will be 11.6 km long, which will be the longest ropeway under this scheme.
It will make the journey easier and will be an economical alternative to traditional arrangements like trekking, helicopter, mule and palanquin.
Devotees will be able to see the holy ice lingam of Lord Shiva in less time without climbing difficult feet.
Important decisions taken in the meeting
Recently, a high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Amarnath Shrine Board Chairman and Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. Jammu and Kashmir DGP Nalin Prabhat, Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo and many other high officials attended the meeting. The following decisions were taken in this meeting:
